Dharma Study : Dhaniya Sutta

Sat 25 April | 1.30-4pm

In the Dhaniya sutta we meet the farmer that has it all: wealth, a beautiful home and the "perfect" partner. He is the picture of worldly success - until he encounters the Buddha.

In a poetic dialogue, the two trade verses: one boasting of worldly security, the other of an unshakeable freedom. Their exchange forces a confrontation between the life of accumulation and the path of renunciation.

Together, we’ll dive into this ancient text to investigate our own existential situations. By exploring our relationship with "wanting it all," we will try to discover how to shape a life that moves beyond the mundane to truly Encounter Enlightenment.
