Sangha Night online | Meditate Like it matters 6 – Mind training for the aspirant Bodhisattva! | Led by Lalitaraja

The Sangha is the Buddhist term for the community of people wishing to learn from the Buddha's teachings. Lalitaraja, Santva, Manjumitra, Akshayapradipa and guest Order Members take turns to lead these evenings, practising and communicating Buddhism. A Sangha evening might include a talk, meditation, discussion, workshop, devotional practice. Open to all (though it is helpful if you have had an introduction to the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditation practices).

We meet in person at the Centre on the fourth Monday of each month, and on zoom on the second Monday.

Meditate Like it matters 6 – Mind training for the aspirant Bodhisattva!

Following on from Akshayapradipa’s recent evening on the Bodhisattva we’ll have some practice and reflection around teachings for the very beginning of that path. The Tibetan Lojong or 7-point mind training starts with the advice “start with the preliminaries”, what does it mean by preliminaries and how do we know that we are at the beginning of something? There are helpful lists but how can we use them in a way that makes sense for us, where we are, today.
