Saturday Morning Meditation and Buddhism Drop-in class

We start with meditation at 10:15. After the tea break, you can continue to explore meditation, or alternatively you can join the Buddhism option. Our new theme is URBAN BUDDHISM.

On the second Saturday of each month there is a talk on one of these themes (click here), and on the other Saturdays we get together to explore the topic further. All are welcome, and you don't need to come each week.

Gentle Transformation: Introduction to Buddhist Meditation (start 24 Jul 2019)

Meditation helps us to develop awareness and mindfulness as well as positive emotions. It helps us to get to know and change our mind and live a more mindful and richer life. Over time meditation can bring about a gentle but radical transformation.

The course will introduce traditional meditation practices and help you to develop skills in listening and connecting with your body and mind.

Suitable for complete beginners and those in their early stages of their meditation practice.

Just Sitting meditation, sometimes known as pure awareness, is one of the core Triratna meditation practices.

Body like a mountain, heart like an ocean, mind like the sky

Explore how yoga and meditation can weave together simply, practically and powerfully.

This workshop will emphasise sensations of body and heart in connecting to our thoughts through gentle yoga practise and a variety of meditations. Come along for a few hours of adventure and exploration – right here in your own body/heart/mind.

A Meditation Workshop with Vajradaka

Whether you are on the ball, fresh and excited or jaded and going through the motions with your meditation this workshop with Vajradaka will give it all a shine.

We will explore primary attitudes, principles and skills in a way which will make them feel tailored to you personally. Come and put a shine on your mindfulness and meditation practice no matter how much experience you have.

Vajradaka has been a full-time Dharma practitioner and meditation teacher since the beginning of 1973. He lived for 21 years at Vajraloka, a Triratna meditation retreat centre in Wales. He now lives in a Buddhist community in London.
