Gentle Transformation: Introduction to Buddhist Meditation (start 16 Jan 2019)

Meditation helps us to develop awareness and mindfulness as well as positive emotions. It helps us to get to know and change our mind and live a more mindful and richer life. Over time meditation can bring about a gentle but radical transformation.

The course will introduce traditional meditation practices and help you to develop skills in listening and connecting with your body and mind.

Suitable for complete beginners and those in their early stages of their meditation practice.

Saturday Morning Meditation and Buddhism Drop-in class

Since Oct 2018 the Saturday morning class includes a Buddhism option.

We start with meditation at 10:15, then every second Saturday of the month there will be a talk (for more information click here) and the other Saturdays the talk themes continue in the second half in an interactive format.

Our theme for the New Year is the five spiritual faculties.

The first half will be suitable for newcomers or experienced meditators.

The Four Foundations of Mindfulness: (Satipatthana)

An exploration and explanation of the four traditional ways of establishing mindfulness - body (Kaya), feelings (Vedana), mind (Chitta) and Dhammas. There will be a meditation in the first part of the evening which follows our standard format for the Tuesday class. You need to know our Triratna meditation practices.
