IN-PERSON: Sangha Night “Summer Solstice” | Led by Khemajala

The Sangha Night team look forward to welcoming you twice a month; once on zoom (7.00-9.00) and, once in-person (7.00-9.30). The dates will generally be the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. Check the website near to the time.

Summer Solstice, Litha or Midsummer, celebrates the longest day of the year on June 21st, but we'll celebrate on the 20th to coincide with Sangha Night. We will return once again to Hamptead Heath and do our rituals in the open air. The evenings proceedings will be led by Khemajala.

Our Solstice celebration will focus on Vairocana as he is the centre of the mandala and is likened to the sun at midday. With a meditation and reflection, and a banishing ritual we’ll do together, finishing with a puja to Vairocana.

Meet at the bandstand on Parliament Hill Fields at 7pm (see map) we'll then walk to find a suitable spot to spend our evening.

Address: Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath, London NW5 1QR

Bring with you

The Sangha is the Buddhist term for the community of people wishing to learn from the Buddha's teachings. Lalitaraja, Santva, Manjumitra, Khemananda and guest Order Members take turns to lead these evenings, practising and communicating Buddhism. A Sangha evening might include a talk, meditation, discussion, workshop, devotional practice. Open to all (though it is helpful if you have had an introduction to the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditation practices).

The Sangha Night team is looking forward to welcoming you.
