An Elemental Qigong Workshop | WOOD Element, Part 2
The Daoist Yoga sequences are designed to help us understand how to open and form our vessels so that we may gather and transform energy.  This is based on the Daoist concept of the body's joints and organs as vessels for 'qi', the abundant energy of the universe that animates all life. Through practice we construct and develop these vessels internally so that we can refine the state of our energy.  In terms of Daoist philosophy, we take care of our internal landscape (microcosm) and our external lives (macrocosm) will reflect back to us the harmony we cultivate.

This workshop will cover practices for the tendons.  The tendons system is known in alchemy as the 'connecting body' and helps to integrate our physical being.  It is common for this system to deteriorate later in life, causing pain and lack of mobility, thus this sequence aims to teach us how to restore and preserve the quality of our tendons.  We will study the twelve tendino-muscular systems relating to the twelve internal organs.  No previous experience of qigong necessary. There will be a short break.

Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. Please inform the teacher before starting the session if you have any injury or health condition or if you have recently had an operation.
